DESCRIPTION

EVA TPN SET, which is also referred as “EVA TPN Bags”, is a secure and solid storage of nutrition solutions before and during administration to the patient. AccuPoint EVA TPN bags are equipped with specially designed multi-layer bags from medical grade Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate (EVA) which allows for high elasticity, resistance to wear, tear, mold and bacteria.

AccuPoint EVA TPN Sets are also equipped with an internal thread to fill port connector, a non-latex injection port, a filling port, and a giving port which, together with our multilayered bags, provide the benefits of longer shelf life and UV protection. AccuPoint TPN sets are sterilized with ethylene oxide, are non-toxic, non-pyrogenic and can be used in the emulsion of fat and other fat-soluble liquid and medicine.

USAGE

• Prepare a TPN solution and prime IV tubing with the filter as per agency protocol;
• Tubing should be primed to avoid air embolism. If changing the TPN solution, pause EID and remove the old TPN administration set;
• Carefully disinfect connections and change IV tubing;
• Start the TPN infusion rate as per the orders of a licensed physician;
• Monitor for signs and symptoms of complications related to TPN;
• Complete daily assessments and monitoring for the patient on TPN has to be done. Document the procedure in the patient’s chart as instructed by a licensed physician.

MATERIALS USED

AccuPoint™ EVA TPN Sets are made of a variety of high-quality materials, such a co-polymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate characterized by high elasticity, resistance to wear and tear, anti-mold and anti-bacterial. UV EVA is the specific compound suitable to fill with photosensitive drugs.

 

EVA TPN bags are also equipped with an internal thread to fill the port connector, a non-latex injection port, a filling port, and a giving port. All the tubes and bags are flexible to avoid kinking and break.

 

The bag is manufactured by welding a plastic tubular and assembling the bottom with tube exits. A graduated scale printed on bag by a hot method. Availability to manufacture bags in different capacities and different configurations are available.
